Provinzial
Wings Wall
For Provinzial’s launch event, every employee’s “guardian angel moment” became a pair of wings live, flying into an animated swarm that formed the Provinzial logo together on screens across the head offices.

(01) Challenge
At the internal launch event, employees were to become part of the show themselves. Every newly shared moment had to fly onto the wall in realtime as a pair of wings and join the swarm, on screens in very different formats at once, from portrait displays to a 4K widescreen.
(02) Solution
Employees share their guardian angel moment via an internal microsite. Before a message appears, an AI checks it for hate speech and insults. It then flies onto the wall as a new pair of wings, joins the animated swarm and keeps forming the Provinzial logo with it. Until the board unlocked the wall on stage, a dedicated waiting screen was shown.
(03) Highlights
Thousands of wings flying smoothly in realtime push any browser to its limits. That is why all of up to 24,000 wings are drawn in a single call straight on the graphics card, where each pair’s flight path is calculated once instead of for every vertex. This cuts the work per frame to about a hundredth. Instead of costly flocking with millions of neighbour checks, layered wave motions create the natural flight, and the fuller the wall gets, the leaner each wing becomes in detail. That keeps the animation buttery smooth right up to the last message.
